About

I'm Edward Madziwa. I build the systems that make businesses work.

I've spent nearly two decades in UK retail and commercial operations, working at Dreams, Tesco, and Wyevale Garden Centres before spending the last nine years running the commercial operations of a premium London fashion brand.

Across those roles, I've merchandised everything from bedsteads to Christmas gifting, live plants to luxury fashion. I've opened 120 stores, implemented WSSI systems from scratch, managed multi-million-pound budgets, and led five major technology platform migrations. Along the way, I studied at the London College of Fashion, Westminster Business School, LSE, and Columbia Business School, and I'm currently pursuing a BSc in Data Science at the Open University alongside my CIMA qualification.

I didn't start as a technologist. I started as a merchandiser who kept finding that the tools the business needed didn't exist, so I built them. That instinct led me to teach myself to code, and to build a commercial intelligence platform from scratch that rivals tools backed by $10 million in venture funding.

Today, AI is central to everything I build. I use it to accelerate development, power intelligent features within every platform, and deliver capabilities to small businesses that would otherwise require teams of specialists. The combination of deep commercial experience and modern AI tooling means I can build in weeks what would traditionally take months, and at a fraction of the cost.

I also publish a growing library of business tools and professional templates, from free VAT calculators and cash flow forecasters to premium merchandise planning workbooks and bottom-up financial models. Prices start from free, with affordable templates at £4.99 and premium models from £19 to £49. They are the same tools I have built and used across my career, now available for any business to use. Check out the store for useful templates, or get in touch for a bespoke template built specifically for your business.

Now I'm channelling all of that into helping other businesses. Whether you're a solo entrepreneur launching your first product online, or a growing brand that needs proper systems to scale, I bring the same hands-on approach: I don't just advise, I build.

I operate through Elizabeth Gracie Ltd, my consulting company. I'm based in the UK and speak English, Shona, and Spanish.

If you've got a business challenge that involves technology, operations, or finance, and you want someone who's actually done it rather than just advised on it, let's talk.
